 What is Broomstones? Broomstones is a full service, four sheet curling club in Wayland MA. It is the largest curling club in the Boston area and it has over 300 active members, of which 1/4 are Juniors (21 or under). Adult leagues occur every night of the week and we have an active Junior program on Sundays. With a spacious warm room, Wi-Fi, cable TV, fireplace, full kitchen, locker rooms and a balcony viewing area complete with pool table, Broomstones is the perfect place to learn, enjoy and participate in the sport of curling. The Coaches Scott began curling during high school in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. After graduating with a Masters in the Art of Teaching from Brown University, he formed a small high school curling team with his students at Medway High School. For the past ten years, he has coached and instructed adults and youth curlers and currently runs the high school and middle school programs at The Country Club in Brookline, MA. Scott is also the program coordinator for the Broomstones Junior program and Homeschool Program. On the ice, Scott has competed at the Mixed and Men’s Nationals, the Olympic Trials and countless local competitions. |
